I love an Australis limited edition. Truly, I do. I think Australis is a great little brand and their polish is a quality formula. I always do a little happy dance when a package from them lands on the desk here at TNF HQ.

Come July 25th, Kit Cosmetics will be releasing the most fabulous collection they have done in quite some time – Viva La Color. Eye, lip and cheek colour palettes with Missoni-like print on the packaging, bold lippies, bright glosses, and new brushes with colourful handles. But the polish, oh the polish! Five full sized colours, and then a set of four minis. All limited edition, naturally.
I don’t know about you, but I have just about reached Royal Wedding saturation point. If I read one more article speculating about dresses, hairstyles, guests lists or canapes, I might just poke some eyes out. That said, these beautiful polishes from Kit definitely sent my royal heart racing with their regal jewel tones.

Another Aussie brand, another limited edition. This time it’s Australis and they have put out two bang on-trend colours for Autumn 2011 – a dark mauve with a lick of grey, and a bright green.

Everyone loves a touch of luxury, and LUXE from Face of Australia certainly fits the bill. This limited edition set of eight polishes is super cute – it’s not themed for winter or summer or rock chic or star signs. Just eight cool colours in a beautiful formula.

Mecca are running a fabuleux promotion in the month of Feb called From Paris With Love, where every purchase gets a little sampler pack of some of the beautiful French brands that Mecca stocks. Especially for this promotion, Mecca have produced a pair of limited edition polishes that channel the banks of the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, berets and baguettes galore.

…and it’s Yumi!
If you didn’t catch it when I posted a few weeks ago, Bloom had given Yumi, Chrissie, Gorgi and Denise from The Circle the chance to each create their own limited edition nail polish shade and the public would vote on their favourite. The winning polish would then be available in stores and online, with all proceeds going to The Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Yumi is so popular that she is sold out already! BUT Bloom have a waiting list and it’s totally worth jumping on it – a beautiful polish for a great cause, and still a bargain at only $19.95.
Venomous Villains was probably one of the most hotly anticipated MAC collections of the last few years. When pictures of the duo-chrome foil nail polishes hit the web, I started drooling.
Having now tried them, I wasn’t disappointed. Bad Fairy was by far my favourite. It’s a raspberry colour with flashes of warm gold and a hint of red. I haven’t seen anything like it before – if you know of a dupe, let me know!

The spring/summer collections just keep rolling in (I need more hands to swatch them all) and the OPI Summer Flutter quartet will set hearts a-flutter (sorry, it was obvious) with the sweet and whimsical summer vibe.
At first it felt to me a little like a hodge-podge of colours and formulas (redish, orange, blue, pink, glitter, shimmer, cream) but each has its merits for being in the limited edition summer range and each suits a different mood.
