Pretty much all the trend reports I have read for spring say pastels are going to be hot. I’m very excited because some of the brands are coming out with beautiful collections for once the weather starts to heat up. Essie have a completely edible collection (not literally!) of 6 colours for spring, 5 of which are pastel and all of which are wearable.

The full collection will be released on September 1st (first day of spring…appropriate) but in the meantime four of the colours have been specially released into 10 Bettina Liano boutiques. Talk about a beautiful union of fashion and beauty!

Lilacism – a lovely lilac with a blue base. Looks more blue in photos than it really is – actually quite lilac in person.

Neo Whimsical – a violet with more of a grey base. Very chalky colour with a shadow of pink.

Van D’Go – a truly chalky peach.

Tart Deco – a dusty coral. Vibrant but muted, which sounds odd but is the best way to describe it.

The other two colours in the collection are red and pale pink, which won’t appear on shelves until Sep 1 when the full collection is launched.
